I am a Sheffield-based professional PHP website designer and programmer.
I can create everything from small web presences to full management systems.

Roots

I originally started out studying Software Development at university, studying several programming languages including C++, Java, Visual Basic, MySQL, and PHP.
I decided that I wanted to focus my attention primarily on Web-based development, so I took my experiences of software based coding and applied it to my website work. Using this approach I have developed two online management systems for smartassess, a Sheffield-based development company. The first was a project management system, and the second was an online customer relations management system. I have also done extensive work on their corporate website.

• Professional industry knowledge of PHP with MySQL, both raw and using Zend Framework.
• Proficiency in XHTML and CSS web page structures,layouts and designs.
• Continually expanding knowledge of javascript and Ajax.
• Flash embedding.
• First hand experience implementing and using the Google Maps API.
• Experience in installing, modifying and using Wordpress.
• Photoshop website design.
• Mailing list management, email template creation, mail-out forms.
• Knowledge and experience in getting new websites listed, promoted and advertised within popular search engines such as Google.
